Daryl Trate joins SYNERGX USA as Director of Laboratory Services 

As SYNERGX continues to expand across the United States and as part of its 2023 market development strategy, we are pleased to announce that Daryl Trate has joined our team as Director of Laboratory Services. Daryl will be responsible for developing and growing the company’s American laboratory services business in Ann Arbor, MI. 

Daryl is a Detroit original, having been born and raised near the Motor City. He recently retired from the auto industry after spending 32 years working for Chrysler in the US.  Daryl spent his entire career working for Stellantis (formerly Chrysler and FCA) in the area of glass and glazing. During his tenure, he was the global glass materials specialist, which helped him build deep relationships with glass fabricators worldwide.   

In addition to his work within the Chrysler family, Daryl has been a global glazing industry leader. He currently serves as the chair of the ISO committee responsible for glazing test methods and regulations.  Daryl formerly chaired the US SAE Committee responsible for glazing materials and the Auto Innovators working group that oversaw glazing regulations. Daryl has been the US delegate to the UN’s Working Party on General Safety (GRSG), which is responsible for the UN ECE Regulation 43 document.  

Daryl’s background in vehicle glazing development, integration, issues, and worldwide regulation positions him well to determine what services SYNERGX’s US laboratory can provide to best support the worldwide producers of vehicles.  

He is, without a doubt, a major addition to the team!
